ASM Global-managed venues Van Andel Arena and DeVos Performance Hall rank among the world’s best, according to industry magazines Billboard, Pollstar and VenuesNow. Year-end rankings were recently released and the Grand Rapids venues have once again made lists ranking top venues in terms of attendance and gross ticket sales.
Van Andel Arena and DeVos Performance Hall appeared on Billboard’s year-end charts with the arena ranking #13 worldwide and #6 in North America for venues with a capacity between 10,001 and 15,000. DeVos Performance Hall ranked #13 worldwide for venues with a capacity of 5,000 or less. Billboard ranked venues by total gross ticket sales reported from November 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.
VenuesNow included the Grand Rapids venues in their worldwide and North American year-end rankings. Van Andel Arena ranked #7 for North American venues with a capacity of 10,001-15,000. DeVos Performance Hall ranked #20 worldwide for venues with the capacity of 2,001-5,000. VenuesNow rankings are based on ticket sales reported for events between November 17, 2022 and November 15, 2023.
Both venues also appeared on the Pollstar year-end charts with Van Andel Arena ranking #100 worldwide and #71 in North America among arena venues of all sizes based on gross ticket sales, and #98 worldwide and #66 in North America for attendance. DeVos Performance Hall ranked #37 worldwide among theater venues of all sizes for gross ticket sales, and #28 worldwide for attendance. Ticket sales and gross figures are from shows reported to Pollstar between November 17, 2022 and November 15, 2023.
